Starter for 6
Pidgin Perfect was supported through its development by Starter for 6 and was a Main Programme Awardee in 2011. This prestigious enterprise training scheme was set up by the National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts in 2007.
Since 2009 it has been run by Cultural Enterprise Office, Scotland's only specialist business support and development service for creative businesses and practitioners with investment from the Scottish Government via Creative Scotland’s Innovation Fund.
Starter for 6 offers tailored support to help develop micro businesses, optimising the economic potential of new starts in the creative sector, which currently has a £5billion annual turnover in Scotland. As well as providing the grounding in structured business start-up and planning specifically for innovation and growth through a five month training programme, the scheme uniquely offers participants the opportunity to pitch for up to £10,000 cash investment to take their idea to market.
To date over 300 successful companies have been supported by Starter for 6.
